Workflows
Graphical workflows are the cornerstone of AutoMate BPA Server. A workflow (or flow diagram) is a high-level graphical representation of an IT or business process, which might involve processing on multiple servers across the network.

Objects created in AutoMate BPA Server, such as a task, are automatically stored in the Repository. Reusing an object is as easy as clicking the repository button and dragging the existing object into a workflow.
Featuring a modern and intuitive interface, capabilities include: Management of workflows, repository objects, users, agents, reporting, real-time execution status, and settings for the server.
The new Task Builder supports a customizable Available Actions list, multiple document support, find and replace, stack viewer and improved action search with filtering for quickly finding a desired action.
Available actions include extensive support for: XML, FTP/SFTP, file management, SQL, email, Active Directory, WMI, HTTP, PGP and Cryptography, DLL Calls, VB Scripts, Excel, GUI automation, Terminal Emulation, Telnet, SNMP, many more.
Conditions can be used to "trigger" (start) a workflow, as well as at any point inside a workflow to perform an evaluation or wait for a condition before proceeding.
Unlike competing systems which allow users to assign a whole workflow or job to run on a remote agent, BPA Server takes the approach a step further, allowing each distinct task or condition to run on different agents within the same workflow.
The Enterprise Version of AutoMate BPA Server includes a role-based user access system. Passwords may either be maintained by BPA Server or authenticate to Windows/Active Directory.
