AutoMate Advisor
For years, an IT staffer at ITW Construction Products had to come to work early every morning to prepare the company’s ERP system for the new day. At first, the process of incorporating the previous day’s business activities into the ERP database took 30 minutes. As the company grew, the job ballooned to 2-1/2 hours. Rather than continuing to waste valuable time repeating the same tasks day after day, ITW brought AutoMate Professional on board. In a few hours’ time, IT managers used the software’s automation wizards to trigger, run, and error-check ERP updates on a hands-free basis - slashing over 12 hours off the IT workload every week.
AutoMate was featured in the October online issue of Government Technology magazine, a publication dedicated to providing information technology case studies, applications, news, and the best practices for state, city, and county government. The article was written in response to a case study conducted by Network Automation on Vanderburgh County Highway Department's uses of AutoMate for data collection and system monitoring.
Dustin Snell, the CEO of Network Automation, was recently interviewed by Rajani Baburajan, a TMCNet contributing editor, for an article about how automation solutions such as AutoMate can help organizations manage their business and IT processes during challenging economic times.
This latest version of AutoMate, which was released on October 22nd, has enhanced stability for Windows Server 2008 and addresses several known issues in the previous release. These include enhancements to the Task Builder and fixes to various actions and the Task Administrator.
Anyone who has ever used AutoMate or AutoMate BPA Server knows that the potential number of tasks and business processes is virtually limitless. But surprisingly enough, most Network Automation customers use these extremely powerful products for just a few specific purposes.
AutoMate's most current version is:
AutoMate 7.0.7.0 (October 7, 2008)
